An experienced professional musical theatre director is required in Cambridge to direct a January 2019 production.

Leading Cambridge amateur musical theatre company CaOS [Cambridge Operatic Society] stages a production annually at the Cambridge Arts Theatre, the city’s top professional theatre venue for pre- or post-West End tours. Recent productions have included Sweeney Todd, Annie, Sister Act and Oklahoma! Our next show will be named shortly.

Auditions will take place this summer. Rehearsals on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings will begin in September, with occasional Sundays, for January show dates.

We are pleased to consider early career, as well as seasoned, professionals, for this opportunity. The successful candidate will work with skilled and talented volunteer performers and crew of all ages and backgrounds across Cambridge’s dynamic, vibrant and highly competitive amateur dramatic community.

Remuneration will be by negotiation.
